NSEA Federal Relations Committee

The Federal Relations Committee is a group of NSEA volunteers who serve the organization by keeping members apprised of federal legislation affecting student employment programs by a variety of methods. In addition, the Committee develops and maintains a working relationship with Congressional offices, the Department of Education, Capitol Hill consultants and/or advocacy groups, and other national associations to ensure our members’ concerns are heard. In conjunction with NSEA leadership, the Committee also prepares written and/or oral testimony required by Congressional Subcommittees during reauthorization and at other times when major issues are being considered for legislative change. The Committee may also gather information on current issues via member surveys.
